We all have our ups and downs, but how do you deal with bigger challenges?
Losing your job, going through a break-up, suffering from a financial setback..
Allow yourself time to process, reach out to a friend, family member and/or professional
for help and create a plan to bounce back and become better and stronger than ever.
Easier said than done right? Believe me, I’ve been there..
It’s important to grieve, set a time-frame for yourself so you don’t get lost in the suffering
too much. Then when you feel a moment of joy, sit down and think about something that you’ve always wanted to do. It’s important to have a positive mindset when you’re creating your plan.
For me it was being a role model to my son, so I wanted to get back in shape and to be super fit. I set a weight loss goal for myself and signed up for my first 10k. Make sure when you reach your goal, that you immediately set a new goal to keep the momentum going.
If it’s cooking you like to do, sign up for a cooking class. Meetup.com and LinkedIn are
great sites to connect with like-minded individuals.
Allow yourself to grieve - but set a time-frame
Look into something you’ve always wanted to do - something that makes you feel good about yourself
Set your personal goals, find your personal cheerleader and take the first step
Reward yourself after achieving your first goal and set new ones
The great thing about feeling angry, sad or disappointed, is that you can use this build up energy to start something new. Just be ready to make that switch and amazing things will come your way.
Just know that I’m your biggest fan and that I'd love to see you grow and blossom into the best version of yourself!
Be strong, be you!
